Game Mechanics

The combat layer is a stack of documented affinity rules, status effects, leader auras, gear passives, and imprint triggers. Use this page as the map, then jump into the detailed references when you need exact values.

Build order

  1. 1. Pick the fight: boss tags, wave threats, or arena win condition.
  2. 2. Choose the affinity angle: avoid weak hits before chasing damage.
  3. 3. Choose the status plan: apply, block, cleanse, strip, or exploit.
  4. 4. Lock the leader bonus and gear around the same win condition.

Affinity Simulator

Check the matchup before you commit a carry. Positive matchups can strong hit; negative matchups can weak hit.

Strength advantage

Positive matchup: your attacker has a strong-hit path for bonus damage.

Status Interaction Explorer

Pick an effect and see where it appears across champions and imprints. Use it against a boss only when it solves the problem you are seeing in the fight.

Accuracy vs resistance

Debuffs and disables only matter if they land. Control teams need accuracy; boss teams need resistance, cleanse, or Block Debuffs.

Divinity timing

Ultimates are tempo tools. Hold them for boss phase changes, shield breaks, or a turn where your leader bonus and debuffs are active.

Leader value

Leader bonuses persist as the team's battle plan. Examples: Accuracy, Attack, Crit Damage, Crit Rate.

Set bonuses

Armor pages list the documented 2-piece, 4-piece, and 6-piece bonuses. Match the set text to the champion's job before chasing rarity.

Weapons

Faction weapons and status text are not flavor. Use them to amplify the same tags your champion already applies.

Imprints

Every champion can borrow power from the imprint pool. Current data includes 168 documented imprint bonuses across 204 champions.

Fight Prep Checklist

If the boss stacks debuffs

Bring a direct cleanse, Block Debuffs, Stalwart, Backfire, or a resistance leader. Do this before adding more damage.

If the boss shields or barriers

Bring strip, bypass, Acid, multi-hit pressure, or a champion that scales from hitting protected targets.

If the boss takes too many turns

Bring turn-meter decrease, speed/INIT protection, extra-turn denial, or a tempo leader.

If your team dies before setup

Swap one damage slot into Shield, Barrier, Mend, Protect, Intercept, Ward, or a defensive leader bonus.

Build Templates

Boss Stable

1 carry, 1 cleanser, 1 shield/heal support, 1 protector, 1 turn-control or resistance slot.

Debuff Burst

Accuracy lead, debuff applier, tag scaler, defense break or Vulnerable, and one safety slot.

Shield Wall

Defense or HP lead, Barrier or Shield engine, Intercept/Protect, sustain, and one scaling damage dealer.

Tempo Lock

Speed or INIT lead, turn-meter gain, turn-meter reduction, disable pressure, and cleanse protection.
